know when an e-mail you sent gets read?

Anyone know of a program or way that will let me know an e-mail I sent was read by the recipient?

If and when you receive a reply from the recipient, you'll know the message had been read


You can check the status of a message on AOL (providing the recipient is also an AOL member, otherwise it is not possible)

in outlook express or outlook you can go under the tools menu select options and under the receipt tab check the box that says 'Request a read receipt for all sent messages'. this will send you a email stating when the receipient viewed the email message, only works if that person is also using outlook or outlook express
