  1. Hi,
I'm trying to make a compilation DVD where i take small clips of several DVD movies and put it all together on one disk.
-I use DVD Decrypter to rip the movies onto my HD.
-I use DVD shrink to transcode.

I want to be able to group these clips into different titles and also loop certain individual clips.
For authoring i've used DVD Lab. It allows me to loop individual chapters which is ideal but the problem is it recognizes each clip as a title as opposed to chapters belonging to one title. This prevents me from pressing the "next" button on the DVD and jumping to the next clip. To do this i have to hit menu and choose the clip that way.

i've used TMPGEnc DVD Author. This one solves the problem of jumping to the next clip using the "next" button because it recognizes the clips as chapters. it lets me group the clips into titles which is perfect but it will not allow me to loop individual chapters.

can anyone tell me if i'm doing something wrong or if what i wanna do is not possible using these softwares.

    Thanks so much.

  4. unfortuently it is no longer available and it was pro software and it's price matched that.

why dont you demux the video stream once it goes through dvdshrink, and then you can re-author this in dvdlab and then actually do what you want

  5. by "demuxing" are you referring to the option in DVDLab itself? i think i might have done that, i'm not quite sure.
The problem is that it still recognizes the seperate clips as titles not as chapters and because of that i can't hit "next" on the remote and jump to the next scene.

  6. I tried playing around with the demultiplexing options in "project properties" but i still have the same problem. Clips are recognized as titles and i can't use the Next button on my DVD player to jump to the next title.
    Help pleaaaase.

  7. the problem i have is i know if dvdlab, but i dont actually have/use it as i iuse Maestro instead. SOrry about that.

Normally what i would do is demux the clip AS ONE WHOLE FILE not seperate ones and then input this into maestro, make my chapters and then i can assing the chapters or set up a playlist to have it do what i want
