avi to svcd help

i looking to burn a film down to svcd format......

obviously it wont fit on 1 cd....So.....can someone help , how you convert using DVD2SVCD .And also how do you split the file to convert the 2 separate parts onto 2 cds

Im using virtualdub to split my movie in two parts....Now , the movie is fine before the split ......Proir to burning, when i come to check the 2 split parts in my media player on my pc i discover problems.....varying from :

-slow motion sections( which knocks the audio out of sync temporarily )

-1st split part fine but 2nd is way out of sync....

I know the movie is fine because ive converted as much as i can fit onto a cd ( svcd format )and played in my dvd player....Im just having a big problem when i cut a movie....

I CAN do all the dvd2svcd & TMPGEnc stuff no problem if i was just doing one cd.........it all seems to go wrong as soon as i split movie into two parts....

Im very new to this and would really appreciate someone telling me where im going wrong...
