  1. A weird error since last format+reinstall.
I can playback svcds fine, video sound no problems.
But if I encode them myself, which I've done for 3 years now,
the audio that is encoded (tried demuxing, audiofile is there), is totally empty. It just makes a bullshit audiofile (right size tho), and muxes it into the mpeg2 file. Why is it that my self encoded audio dont work while other mpeg audio works?

Edit: Reinstalled everything. Codecs, AVS, PowerDVD, Soundcard drivers.
Everything playback just fine, except my own stuff.
Just did a encoding in tmpgenc, audio only. From a .mov (using qtreader.vfp) .. file was around 2MB but had no audio in it. Tried playing it in 4 different players.
Why does my system do this. Please help..

    Any ideas?

You don't get any sound even when using Power DVD to play your mpegs? Very weird indeed. I don't really know why your files aren't playing the sound but you might want to check one more time to make sure it's there. Open up either the mpeg or mp2 with Goldwave or some other audio editor.

  3. Which software you encode the SVCD with? Maybe some codecs are missing within that software?

  4. Downloaded mpeg2 files play sound, homemade mpeg2 files dont..
I've done svcds for 3 years and never had problems.
No playback software can play my svcds with sound. All those programs, wmp, bsplayer, powerdvd, mediaplayer classic works with downloaded svcds.
Seems like the encoding part of the svcd codec is fuxxored.
Tried re-installing, and isntalling other svcd codecs. No luck.

I tried encoding in cce, 2.5 and latest. And tried tmpgenc.
Settings are ok because they DO encode a audio file, I tried demuxing my files and the audio file is there, with right size. It do playback, but without sound. I must fix this soon, going crazy here.

    Any help would be nice!

Try extracting your source movie's audio to wav and use FFMPEG to create a mp2 file, then mux it with one of your svcd mpeg's video.
