i recently reformatted my computer and reinstalled my codecs etc... but when i try to play some of my backup video files it gives me the error that you see in the title as well as the pic i uploaded "floating point devision by zero" if anyone could help me out and let me know how to fix it or give me any info at all it would be greatly appreciated. also this error only applies to zoom player the video still play is wmp.

Well, do you have a Pentium 100 in your system? (If you get this, you really are a huge geek, just like me)
What you need to do is find out what these files have in common. The easist place to start is by using Gspot to identify the codec used in the creation of these files.
I don't think that Zoom Player is the problem, I think it's the decoder being used. WMP will always use the MS decoder for Windows Media files, no matter what other decoder have been installed, but Zoom Player and pretty much every other player can use any directshow compatible decoder such as ffdshow.
You can see what decoder is being used to render the file by loading up the file in Gspot, then clicking "render" at the bottom. If it says anything other than "WMVideo Decoder", that's your problem. Remove or reconfigure the software associated with it and you should be good to go.
