shop4tech Ritek @ Gr8 Price, anyone bought?

Has anyone else purchased Riteks from shop4tech? They have a great price on Authentic Ritek disks. For a 100 pack they are only .90 each and give you free shipping. I purchased 200 and will have them by Friday. I have been using shop4techs Matrix disks for dvd backups and they work perfectly on my NEC-1300A. For more important things I've been pretty much using Taiyo Yuden & Riteks mainly. Has anyone else seen a better price on Authentic Ritek though? might want to try rima.com or supermediastore.com. They consistently beat shop4tech out on price. I too was lured into the shop4tech "free shipping" thing, the only problem is that their free shipping ALSO includes the shipping price in the price of the product. Actually, the other stores I have mentioned are cheaper AFTER the shipping.

I have bought something from Newegg, they were easy to do business wiht.

I started out buying from shop4tech and the so called "authentic" ritecs were never that. Seemed everytime I bought I got a different quality of a ritec knockoff.

I went to Meritline and been happy since.

macleod, I've also read gr8 things about Rima. Meritline is the ones to stay away from. I've had nothing but trouble with them in the past as has a ton of others here who have said so. I think most people here know to stay far away from meritline. As for right now, I don't see any reason to stop purchasing from shop4tech. They have not screwed my order up and I only had one problem with them in the past which was resolved quickly and I was compensated nicely for it. Rima's price for those Riteks doesn't include shipping. When you include that shop4tech still has the best price on authentic Riteks so I'm gonna stick with them. Hell, even if they were a few cents more i'd stick with them just cos of my positive experiences. I'll have my Riteks tomorrow & I can't wait cos I really need them.

there is a little history with shop4tech. People on the board will remember "jomo" and a few other shop4tech employees that were doing some pretty outlandish things. For example, they sent a lot of people private messages about shop4tech. The started a million posts talking about how great shop4tech was. They hi-jacked threads....

What I hope you'll see from what I wrote is that I through those peoples' actions, I have no desire to do business with shop4tech. Being a hypocrite a few times, I searched their media and free shipping and compared to the others and the others were cheaper. I also had an experience when I ordered from them and got this whole "our media is grade "a" and everyone elses isnt that is why ours is expensive.

there is a post that starts out "grrrrrrr....shop4tech" that talks about one (and a few others) bad experience with shop4tech.

I am sure you dont work for them, but EVERY TIME I see a thread that starts with shop4tech, I cannot help but think about jomo and the other gang!

Macloed, I actualy haven't seen any of these posts you mentioned, but i'm sure they exist. I was just talking from my personal experience and if shop4tech was paying me to work for them i'd guess I'd have the easiest job in the world because I think I only mentioned them once before and I don't visit this site much as it is.

I just had problems with meritline and doing a google search brought this site up where I saw how many other people had problems with them. I was baffled by how they could still be in business with all of their problems and negative feedback on them. So I started to use shop4tech and only had one issue with them in a boat load of transactions. That one problem was quickly resolved and i've been loyal to shop4tech ever since. Now speaking of Ritek pricing, can you believe that shop4tech now has their 100 pack of Authentic Ritek disks for .85! Here is the link.

They dropped the price even more since I last posted and free shipping is still included. I've checked every other site I know of and noone has a price that great. I imediately emailed shop4tech's customer service and told them I feel cheated because of the price drop since my order, and they kindly issued me a credit for my next order.

And this is the reason why i'm loyal to them. I encourage anyone else who paid .90 for the Ritek disks to get their credit as well. I may need to purchase another couple hundred or so but i'll have to wait and see how these disks are when they come in tomorrow. Thank goodness for media prices dropping so drastically, that makes me vewwy vewwy happy.
