Adding audio to basic motion menu

I'm trying to add a short audio clip to a motion menu using dvd lab trial. i created the simple video clip using animationshop - that appears to work fine. The audio i'm using is a 7ish second wav file 48KHz which dvdlab accepts and mutiplexes just fine. i can play the resultant menu perfectly using power dvd on the PC, the problem occurs on my settop, there is no audio on the menu and the dvd is rendered impossible to navigate and play. If i re-demux the vob using dvdlab, the m2v file is good but the audio file has a '?' in the status column and is not useable

what am i doing wrong please?

i have tried saving the wav as ac3 using cooleditpro when muxed the audio is not playable even on power dvd

Try using FFMPEGGUI - works for me
