  1. Hi..

I am trying to play a minidvd on my new Mustek V560.
I actually bought it for this reason alone.
But, it fails. partially. It wont show the menus.
It only shows a directory structure
and I can play the mpeg streams. But, I want it to show
the dvd menus like it would with a normal dvd.
I've tried burning straight for the authoring package
or from the iso image downloaded here. Can anyone help me
with hints on how to fix this?
    Thank you

  2. Most likely this player does not suport miniDVD in true DVD format form....some models that have been reported as supporting ONLY play the vob file in FILE mode..a la playing mp3 files....so with that, menus & such do not work correctly...please state you complete authoring in case you made an error there (which it doesnt sound like you did).

  3. Thank you for a quick reply (Posted like 1 minute ago).
    I use spruce dvdmaestro.
It seems it only supports it in filemode as you say. It works perfectly on a software player. Ofcourse, if wanted I can send you a copy of the
image I am using if you have something to try it on.

What player is suggested for playing it in menu mode?
this player? CyberHome DVD AD-L528 (can exchange it for that)

  4. no if it works fine on the PC, then there is nothing wrong with your authoring process so there is no need to send me anything....thus it is the limiitation of the player, if you are in the US I recommend the GE 110P or 5803...but under the $150 range at Wal-Mart, then get a firmware hack and plays in true DVD format mode.
