    what is the easiest way to convert avi2mpeg so i could use tmpgenc later to author a dvd disc.
    please , if theres a one program that can do it without lots of complication please tell me so ,and a link for the guide please.

    take your pick -- all are easy to use

    tmpgenc with the "wizard" is a no brainer

    dvd2svcd will convert avi's to various formats including dvd. You will still need TMPGENC, main concept, or CCE for the encoding, however.
