I had to settle on the JVC HRS9911U cause I couln't find the other preferred models in stock anywhere. I just got my new VCR, and I want to make sure I have evyerhing set right in the VCR to get the best capture. I am using a S-Video cable. All I really did was push the TBC button on the front of the VCR. This turns off the video stabilizer. Are there any other internal settings that are key for me to change? or is everything pretty much a trial and error type thing? Thanks.

Brian,
Having a TBC will give you better odds of getting good caps off VHS. Using a standalone and a VCR is probably the easiest way to get good transfers. -
