I have been struggling to best configure my system for video capture. My current problem is that captures seem to be horizontally segmented across the screen. In a static shot its not really evident but the more the camera moves the more pronounced it is, with faster motion the screen seems to be made up of segments that blur together and objects get black saw tooth edges. My online research has left me confused. Is this an interlacing issue that won't show up on a TV screen? Is this a sign of an overloaded PCI bus so I need to reduce capture quality? Something else?
I have been capturing NTSC 29.970fps 720x480 YUV picvideo MJPEG quality 19. Thanks.

Yes, that would be interlacing, and no, you won't see it on your TV. If you plan on just watching it on your computer, you can deinterlace it, othewise, keep it interlaced.
