i have an avi that is 640 x 352. the aspect ratio is 1.82:1 which is kind of odd. I normally set output to 16:9 and set input to 16:9 display, full screen, in tmpgenc.
what do you think is the best input/output settings for this AR?
should i correct the AR before using tmpgenc?

If it's 1.82:1, you could either trim it down to 1.77:1 (16x9), or you cuuld letterbox it into a 1.77:1 frame, by adding boarders, then encode as 16x9, or you could just letterbox it into a 4:3........
