As with many other people I have sync problems when capturing from video tape with my Hauppauge PVR 250. Files play fine on the computer > usually author ok with DMF2 but are always out of sync with TMPGENC DVD Author, DVD-Lab & other progs.
Has anyone here tried using the DataVideo TBC 1000 time base corrector with the PVR 250??
I hate dropping $300 to solve a problem I already thought I solved when I bought my PVR 250.

Ranger One the only time you need time base corrector if recoder files always out sycn from a VCR with just a few tape but record from reg AIR TV are fine with or without any editing.
It possable you have a few bad frames or audio pocket loss which encoder maybe dropping so when you try edit them it out of sycn.
Some eles some ely ver with heatsink are know run HOT that can cuase sycn problem check the chip be sure it not runing HOT if it is add a fan close by to help it run cooler.
Try new MPEG editor called VideoReDo http://www.drdsystems.com/VideoReDo/
