I am trying to convert a file in divx format to 3ivx. This isnt the problem, i know how to convert, however, the original file is damaged somehow but im not sure. I ran divfix and it says index out of bounds. If i make a new index the new file is all garbled beyond a point, but teh original wont play in Divx player, but it will play fine in windows media player!

All i want to do is fix teh original so I can convert it, anyone know how?

Are you able to open it with Virtualdub? Did you scan it for bad frames?
