  1. Can someone explain to me why, when capturing using ATI MMC using LPCM, my auido files don't have a header?

I finally figured out why my standalone player wouldn't play the audio on my DVD's. I have to have DVD-Lab demux my files, then convert the LPCM to WAV. Apparently my raw PCM files are headerless. Why is this and what does DVD-Lab insert in the WAV file (I know it's a header, but what's in the header)?

I'm just trying to understand why a raw PCM file doesn't work, while a WAV with a header does.

Raw PCM (RE:LPCM) is headerless. Apparently, your program can't handle the proper muxing of your video and LPCM audio. Your settop player should have no problem with a DVD compiled with LPCM audio.

  3. Has anyone else had any audio issues when using ATI MMC v8.9?

I'd really like to figure this out, since it takes a lot more time to demux stuff that is suppose to already be in DVD compliant formats.

I really don't think it's my standalone, since it has been able to play everything I've thrown at it thus far. I pretty sure it's either a problem in the way the files are being captured, or the way DVD-Lab builds the VOB's.
