A very strange problem

I recently purchased the Yamada DVD 2500 dvd player from Amazon.co.uk, it plays back 99% of what I want to do, but there is one problem. Somebody brought me Pirates of the Caribbean for Christmas and I've played it on another dvd player (Toshida SD11OE) and it plays perfectly, as it does on the PC and PS2. But it won't play on my dvd player. Strangely enough disc two plays but not disc one. It is also the correct region code, any ideas on how to fix this?

Yeah get a quality dvd player you get what you pay for ,I purchased a panasonic s35 dvd player or 69 bucks and it plays everything dvd+r dvd-r vcd svcd etc. Im not trying to be funny but for all my audio/video gear I like to purchase brand names because it makes a difference. 8) 8) 8) 8)

The DVD disc might be faulty.
Its happened to me a few times.
I have taken them back, got another which works fine.
