As I posted earlier... I have now verified after almost 10 disc burns that the culprit is DVD Shrink.
MY PROBLEM:
When using re-authoring to combine 2 different volumes (created by TDA) and shrinking each by about 85%, the resulting DVD had following problems:
1) No Menus (known issue with DVD Shrink)
2) Unable to skip to chapter 2 and some others. When you press skip the first few frames of that chapter play then playback freezes.
3) specifically on Toshiba DVD Player:
The entire movie playback freezes for about 1 second after every 5 seconds of playback.
On the other hand I did the same compression with DVD 2 One, and the resulting disc plays perfectly fine although without menus.
Anyone has any solutions for this? I'd love to use DVD Shrink in the future cuz I like it at what it does.

1) not an issue..but rather it's not a feature let's say.
2 and 3 are serious issues...this is with 3.1.6?
changelog says
Fixed bug which caused occasional skipping/freezing of output DVD during playback on some players.
If it was with 3.1.6 then dvdshrink should definitely be made aware of this bug. -
