  1. Hi,
I detect a problem when I put a label in a DVD disk (DVD-R), after this I have problems to play in the standalone DVD player (not in the PC) It's possible this??? The label is a good one not the paper type label.
Anyone knows a label that work ok with DVD disks?

    Thanks

memorex works just fine for me...you can have 3 labels in one-- the standard labels, center only, and full face.

  4. I also use the Memorex system for applying labels and have had no problems. Some hints to follow:
    1. Make sure that the label is completely dry.
    2. Apply the label using the Memorex applicator.
    3. Make sure the label is evenly pressed.
    4. Use only Memorex branded labels.

  5. peterix,

Yes, labels can make it difficult to read DVDs. Some players are more sensitive to balance problems than others. I used to label my DVDs with Neato paper labels. They worked fine in my computer and my DVD player. I later bought a different DVD player and it had problems reading some of my DVDs. After a while I noticed that all the DVDs that wouldn't play propery had labels (but not all the DVDs with labels had problems). I removed the labels from several of the problem DVDs and they started working perfectly. I don't use labels anymore.

  7. Yes, thanks, may be I am in the wrong forum...

One new that I find serching for labels: there is a developenment from HP to make disks and writers who can "burn" in the top of the disk to emulate a label (you burn the disc, you turn it and burn the upper face), interesting..
