You can't. Where would the information to create the missing 4 channels come from?

  3. U can make a 'psuedo' 5.1 soundtrack. I think theres a guide here somewhere.

    basics are

    1. Convert audio to wav files
    2. open wav files in surcode softencode
    3. save as ac3 5.1 file

  4. i have tried som guides that use saved wav file and soft encoder...but the result i no good...i can create the six ac3 files but not save them into one 5.1 file.
Is this a dead end trying this ,or have anyone maked this work.

I think ffmpeg can encode to 6 channel AC3. Again tho, I wonder why, as it'd be like hoping for stereo sound from a mono recording...

  6. You must be doing something wrong. In surcode you load up the wav 3 times, this gives you your 6 channels, and save it as a 3/2 file with LFE (subwoofer enabled) this will save it as a 6 channel ac3 file.
