I was wondering if it is possible to multiplex SVCD compliant video with ac3 files and burn to a non compliant svcd. I have tried this but i can not get my sound to play. Can anyone tell me why this or possible reasons why? I can burn the same streams to a SVCD-DVD and they work fine?

Svcd has a standard spec for using mp2 audio,ac3 will not be recognized cause the dvd player is expecting mp2 and is not designed to switch to ac3 for svcd playback.

I might also add that nero and other authoring programs will not recognize ac3 as audio for svcd and will author without sound. If your dvd player supports raw mpg playback then you might be able to play mpg2 with ac3 audio on cd.
