  1. It seems my posterity has seen fit to run amuk on our rules of online use and now I'm seeing evidence of AIM being dwnld'd, installed and then del'd and I managed to find a username. I've also noticed new browser bars on my browser with wonderful cute buttons etc.

I can't stand MyWay ~ Funweb.. and MySearch.com's. Took forever to get it all deleted.

1)What considerations are out there for a user tracking software? I use adaware and spybot FWIW I nearly ordered one from Tiger Direct but thought I'd check here first.

    2) Is there a way to go back and find out what's been downloaded, installed and/or deleted?

Yeah, there's progams that you can monitor what's being done on them. Here's and example www.spectorsoft.com. Never used it though. Just do a search in google for PC SPY or something like that. Or if you have Windows XP, NT or 2000 just create different users and remove access rights for installing programs and going to certain websites.

one other way to stymie the progeny would be to use Ghost or Acronis Trueimage, make an image of your system, and restore from the image every few days.

after several times having to download, reinstall and re-preference all thier work, the kids might do something crazy like actually talking to you about why you are doing it...
