  1. Hi,
I just finished converting a XVID movie to DVDR. Since it's my second conversion, I already have a saved IFO file configured with white subtitles.
After I copied the IFO color setting from the old IFO to the new IFO (using IFOEDIT) and played the VOB on my PC, I found the subtitiles to appear in GREEN color.
I re-checked the color settings inside the IFO (the hex codes) and found the correct values appear in the appropriate fields. I tried changing it again manually, but it doesn't affect the subtitles. They appear in green color. What could be wrong ??

    Oh, I forgot to mention:
The subtitles came with the XVID movie as SUB/IDX and I converted them using SUB2SUP.

  2. When you said you re-check the color settings, do you mean the original ifo or the one you created? It sounds like you might not have saved the changes after you copy the color.

  3. I checked the settings on both IFOs. Opened them both in IFOEDIT and compared the 4 lines "Color 0 Y Cr CB" to "Color 3 Y Cr CB" under the VTS_PGC_1. It's just as if the DVD Player ignores these lines completely.

Did I post in the right forum ?

I'm not sure, but have you made 2 identical "backups" using identical source mtrl, or have you made 2 backups from different sources? If the latter, you can't use the colors from the IFO from DVD X and just paste them into the IFO for DVD Y. Each subtitle has its own palette. Time for a little trial & error, I think...

  6. I'm reffering to two different backups. If every compilation has it's own pallette it could explain the weird results I get.
Is there a way to configure/edit this color pallette ?

  7. flash70, when I said " saved " I mean after the copying, did you click the save button right afterward?
    Anyway check out this link:

Scroll down to where it says ' CORRECTING FUZZY GREEN SUBTITLES ON NEW IFO'
    Hope this will help.
