  1. Hi

Sorry don't know if these are still on sale but they were half price at PC World. I've only just tried out one of the discs but it worked fine on my Liteon 811. They were bought for me but I think they were £12.99 for 10.

They only burn at 2.4 but are RICOHJPNR00 so seems a good deal if it's still available.

  4. Thanks for the tip Dave,

I bought 10 of those discs at PC World back in November to see how good they were and they are superb. I wrote 10 films with not one single error - but I paid £30 for the 10 pack!!!

PC World also sell their own line of discs, I think the brand name is PC Line, they're about £60 for a spindle of 25, dont know who makes them though.

    Cheers,

    B.

Why pay £60 for 25 of unknown quality discs.... when you can get 100 top quality Printable Riteks for just a few pence more inc p&p...

PC World have their place for getting the odd thing that they are selling cheap, but to pay their over the top prices for stuff like that is a joke....

  6. IOOI,

    I agree about the prices.
PC World and things like market forces and 'perceived value' come into play. I would never buy the PC Line discs from them because of the price. However, I bought the Imation discs at the same time I bought my dvd writer. I would buy more Imation discs in an emerency though.
For my media needs, including cd's, I always buy from a local Saturday computer market/fair.
    100 Datasafe 52x cd's costs £18
    25 Ritek +/-R spindle costs £20
25 Datawrite -R spindle costs £15 - cheap as chips!

The Datawrite discs work perfectly on my MSI DRA4 drive, thanks to the new firmware - amazing!

Actually, I might take a look at PC World and check out the Imation offer.

    Cheers,

    B.

  8. Well I normally buy online as well but just thought it was a quite a good deal for anybody who wants to pick up a 10 pack in store - they also come in jewel cases.

  10. Elmotheteapot, I dont mean to be rude but if you live in the UK, then the machines at checkouts are called tills, not registers.

I might be wrong about the price of the PC Line -R's, havent been in for over a month so maybe they've got a sale on.
