well this is my second post so i hope i get the same help i got the last time.

ok here is the deal, im going to buy a new pc very soon (P IIII 3.4Ghz) and i would like to transfer all my vhs video collection to dvd, but im still confuse on what should i get, should I buy a capture card or an external device (forgot the name) in either case would you be kind enough to tell me exactly the brands or names of what should i buy, i also must say my new pc will be very powerfull (thats what i think) this is a little description: pentium IIII 3.4ghz,1 Ghz memory-ram, i know nothing about mother boards so i asked for one that get along with the processor, the sound and video card are three in one with the mother board (dont know how to say that), now, the dvd writer is another story, you think you could give a hand with that too? its always the most expensive dvd writer the best one?, one more thing, the video capturing card i was planning to buy its made by HERCULES company (heard theyre good), well im really open to any kind of sugesstion , im also willing to pay good money for a good machine, ive been saving this money for like 4 month so... bye bye and thanks everyone

stick with good brand name reccomended by your burner mfgr. Also, bet a few rewritable disks to learn with.

    Your computer:

Get as much hard drive size as possible and/or consider adding 2nd large hard drive. The rest of your specs sound very good.
