    Hi all,
I am facing a few problems while making DVD's from home videos. My camcoder uses DV cassettes. I am capturing video through Firewire port, I am using Pinnacle to capture the video, I capture as DV AVI. Then I use DVTimeStamp to stamp date and time on the videos, after that I am using TMPGenc Plus to convert the Stamped DV AVI files to mp2 files, after this I use TMPGenc DVD Author to make VOB files and burn them to DVD's.

Now as u seen all the processes involved, I want to cut down these steps.

My ultimate goal is to make DVD's with date and time stamped on the videos, can anyone recommend a way by which I can reduce the no of steps.

Any help on this would be highly regarded.

  2. I know it's a pain with each of these processes, but I think what you are doing is going to give you the best quality. HOWEVER! If you capture and edit in Adobe Premeire, you can export (including re-encoding) from there directly into Pinnacle Impression Pro or even SE if you don't need ac3 audio, and You're DONE! I prefer to use the TMPGEnc method, but if you're in a rush, Premeire & Pinnacle isn't that bad of a choice.
Remember when the only way to see a movie uncut was to go to the theatre?

Saving the cost of Premiere buys a lot of patience with TMPGEnc
