my comouter is ab old dell bx board with pentium II. I recently bought a seagate barracuda 4. I used the disc wizard so my computer will detect the proper capacity and toggle switch to bring down the speed of and hd to 33. but i encountered problems. I read i9n the forum that adding a controller card like promise uta100 will solve my problem. I did bought the card and everything was fine until i try to watch dvd. the movies was not smooth not like before. so i open the device manager to see if my dma was activated. the crdro and the old hard drive was not activated. I try to activate it but everytime i reboot. it was not activate. please help

IF you complaint is DVD movies not 'smooth' the i ask
DO YOU HAVE a MPEG Decoder card.
If not that 'old dell BX' and P2 are gonna struggle with the software decoding. -
it work before.before i installed the the new hard drive.even if im using it before. without a dvd decoder card. even the performence of the old drive went down and cannot activate the dma
