  1. I have an avi file that i want to convert to mpg2. the aspect ratio of the avi is 1.85. Well there really isn't a setting for that in tmpgenc. the closest one would be 20:11 aspect ratio.

    can anybody give me some suggestions on what AR settings i should use for the output and input settings in tmpgenc?

  2. nevermind, i think i figured it out.

    the avi was actually 1.81

    take a standard 1.37:1 image, and crop the following to get the ratios:

    1.85:1 = 46 from top/bottom
    2.00:1 = 60 from top/bottom
    2.35:1 = 87 from top/bottom
