I own a number of DVDs that each have one half-hour of cartoon content. The DVDs are encoded at full bitrate and do not have much motion.

I want to put about four or five episodes on one DVD, possibly more if I resize to half D1.

My question is whether I should take the time to re-encode with something like TMPGEnc, which will allow me to switch to half D1 or try to use a quicker method like DVDShrink?

  2. I would try dvdshrink first on a cuppla of your dvd's and check compressed results via a burned rw disk.

A compression setting of 75% should not reduce viewing quality and even a 55% might work with your material.
    Always check helpfiles/instructions before leaping...
