  1. I've got a film that is in pal dvd format and is interlaced.
when I try to convert it to vcd i get a shadow/ghosting type effect, so I used the deinterlacer (even field) in tmpgenc and this sorted this out but in turn created a jittery effect. So I changed the field order but the problem didn't go away!!
I'v tried all the settings in tmpgenc but nothing works. The only thing that worked was the Even-Odd Field (fields) deinterlacer setting but this increases the frame rate to 50fps and I can't change the Fps to 25 because the jittery problem comes back.
Are there any other ways I could deinterlace the image but keept the quality and smooth motion of the outputed vcd?

    Please Help!!!!!
    Cheers.

  3. I unlocked the templete but still the jittery problem. I think a better word for the shadow/ghosting type effect would be motion blur. I can't get round this one small problem!!
If anyone can help then please do.

    Cheers.
