I've had an InnoDV-2800 Capture Card for a few months now and have tried various things, on and off, to get it capture stuff from a VCR. So far, it's been a miserable failure and I hope someone can suggest something else to try!
I am running on an AMD XP2600+ CPU, Windows/2000 and a 40 MB Maxtor hard disk (recently defragmented), which is fairly new and, I think, running at 7200 rpm. I have downloaded the latest software/driver from their Web Site.
I am using the DVD preset settings as I am trying to transfer old Camcorder tapes to DVD.
What is happening now is if I record for, say, 10 minutes and then play it back the first minute or so are OK but then the picture starts to go 'blocky', then speeds up (as if in FF mode) for a minute or so and then freezes. The playback will stop after 2-3 minutes. It's as if it has somehow compressed the whole thing.
I've tried removing the hardware and all software/drivers and reinstalling from scratch and it makes no difference.
Anybody got any ideas?![]()

Thanks, but, I've already seen those comments - nothing much to help apart from to make sure I use the latest software/drivers, which I have.
Still foxed!!!!!
