i hooked up an lg gsa-4081b burner in a me-320 firewire case (don't know the manufacturer for the case) to my laptop but when i try to play an audio cd, i get no sound. i have the sound input set to cd audio and tried all the other options (like line-in and such) but no luck. and when i use cdex, it doesn't even recognize the drive is there. when i look at the drive properties, i can only get info on the firewire but not the actual drive itself (i was expecting to see some details on the lg 4081b but i get nothing). i can get dvds to play no problem. i'm wondering if this a driver issue. if so, can someone send it to me?
thanks for any help.
