  1. while on this subject, can anyone confirm this: I recall seeing underdog when i was very young, but sometimes interspliced with it, was also a cartoon of Abbott and Costello (had the same 60's look as underdog). Im pretty sure i used to see it on channel 5 (known now as fox network), in the late 70's-early 80's. And if they were 2 seperate toons, then perhaps channel 5 made their own show by mixing them up?

Anything you want can be found on DVD. A lot of it depends though, ranges from official releases, to foreign official releases, to pressed bootlegs, to homemade bootlegs. Somebody out there surely has whatever it is that you want.

  4. Not to hijack an already hijacked thread, but does anyone remember the late 70's sat morning show "Dr. Shrinker"? It was part of the whole speed buggy, electra woman and dynagirl, shazam hour. Anyway, for some reason I have been wondering lately why he shrunk people. What was his plan?

  5. i don't exactly remember, perhaps he wanted to take over the world?

And perhaps we can find the answer if Rhino reocords got off it's ass and released the rest of the Krofft shows on dvd, it's taken them long enough to finally release a complete collection to one (hr pufnstuf), hopefully they will be a bit quicker with the others.

  6. oldfart13; I'm a little surprised they would show him popping pills to get his super strength. Now how do we tell our childern to say no to drugs?

Underdog popping pills and giving Children the idea about drugs is just as bad as kids pouring Gasoline on themselves and saying "Flame On" like the Human Torch..

  10. hudsonf,

thanks for the link. It was interesting to read how things were switched around on different networks, and this could explain why i would see abbott and costello cartoons on the same show as Underdog

And what's up with Race??????? No women on that show
Did not catch all of them, Gazorgan? Race had a thing for Jade, actually saw them kissing in a scene. The movie came out, and even went so far as to say they were once married for a brief time, just long enough for Jade to have Race's daughter.

Anyway, my favorite episode is where Race had to fight that Sumo wrestler. I also wonder if the violence has been edited out of the DVD collection. They can keep it if it has.
    Hello.

  12. I hope they don't mess with it. If they start hacking it up it won't be worth watching. As for Under Dog I'm glad they didn't start editing it up. When I was a child I didn't know anything about drugs and always thought of Under Dogs pill as a super vitamin pill.

It should be intact since the "Boomerangs" are complete but it would be nice to see interviews and maybe throwing in the old PF Flyer Sneaker commercial from the 60's..
