I think I'm looking to buy a chrysler pt cruiser in a few days. Anyone out there with this car can give me some info regarding this vehicle. I'm looking for current owners please.

why?? thats my question. around here it seems to me like every 3rd car i see is a pt cruiser. i mean its your preference if thats what you'd like but not me. i'd rather drive something that everyone else doesn't have, like a pinto or something like that. If your really interested, i'd go to the consumer reports web site and see what their stats are on the car. they have the best info on vehicles..

yeah, plus those cars are ugly.
y'know in like 6 or 7 years, when those cars lose all their luster, everyone is gonna make fun of'em.

I dont drive yet so I dont know how they are, but those cars are cool. If I drove an could afford one I would get one.

Get a Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder convertible... black outside and silver interior. And if not, then get one for me. At least that's my goal.

Yes with all the cheap BMW's, drive a 318 or 320, just throwing your money down the drain. AT least the PT crusier looks cooler and half the price. My 64 Candy Apple Red Chevelle gets more looks than PT Crusier's and BMW's put together. Nobody goes up to those owners and always ask "do you wanna sell your car".

Get a decent car man... US cars suck! Get a Beamer or something... my dad has a new 325i convertable, he has always had beamers, they are truly great cars. A BMW convertable looks WAY better than any 64 Candy whatever as well thxkid dude
. Either a Beamer or a Porsche Boxster, anything but a Chrysler - American cars suck big time, they are too heavy use WAY too much petrol and drive like Cheifton Tanks. I have got an old Alfa Romeo, it rules big time. It is a complete wreck, but who cares? It has the famous flat-4 Alfa Boxer engine - sounds like nothing on earth when reved up (There arent that many V8's in the UK... I know a V8 will crap on it for sound, hehe) The best part? It only cost me £300! I dont need no "showboat car"... I just love battering the crap out of it, corner it until it the tyre's begin to roll sideways, sooooo much fun. At junctions - let the clutch of fast and floor it - spins like fury: smokin!Yeah! Thats what I call a car. I want a BMW (e30 model) M3 next... thats gonna rule. Until then Im happy with my Alfa, which may be a pile of Italian crap as far as cars go, but its just so much fun, I never get tired driving that thing; keep thinking the doors are gonna fall of at like 120Mph!

every person has their preference. I personally don't care for the PT cruiser or the prowler for that matter, but a few of my friends love those things. My personal favourites is a good truck and of course my favourite vehicle is the Corvette. My ultimate goal is to restore a 57 corvette.
I do know that if you like working on vehicles the cruiser is a pain in the rear, big 4 cylinder shoved in a small compartment and the parts to my understanding are a bit on the heavy side (expensive).
though I've noted that especially anymore that the saying
"designers dream, mechanics nightmare" pretty much applies to any vehicle.

Pt cruiser?????? I personally don't like they way they look. Sort of like a miniture hearse. But it is distintive, if thats what your looking for.
There is absolutly nothing wrong with American Cars....well most American cars. -

This is my point: no decent car manufacturer worth its salt uses a BIG 4 cylinder engine. Big 4 cylinder engines suck balls, in fact most inline 4 cylinder engines suck balls. Any decent car manufacturer would go to a 6 cylinder, either a V6 or an inline 6 as with Beamers: 6 cylinder engines have a broader torque range and are better balanced than a similar size 4 cylinder. They are also more efficient and run smoother than an equal cc 4. There you go you Americans... eat that, LOL! Most American cars stink!
P.S. I do like a few... its just that 90% of US cars are badly enginered and are "bad drives". Like why so big? Big = slow with tank like handling.
What is a good 0-60 Mph time for an average US car?

Thanks for the advice. Appreciated.
Anyway I seem to like the shape (my preference). But most of all I have a family member working for this company (chrysler) that can get it for me at a very good cost. Also parts are a issue, Cuz can buy them for cheap! Once again thanks for the imput. Vroom Vroom!
