Hi i have just converted an XVID to SVCD with the following specs for the video :

480x480 resolution
29.97

watching it on a TEAC DV2150

Now my problem is when i fast forward or rewind, the video freezes and flashes but the audio continues on, and the timer on the player also continues. When it is playing at normal speed, the video is fine.

The original XVID was 23.976 frame rate but i found that if i encoded the svcd at 23.976 the movie would freeze as soon as i put it in the player. Encoding the SVCD at 29.97 allows me to watch the svcd but not ff/rw

Is it the player itself? the PC seems to handle it fine.
