Can anyone help I have some of the above music files and I am trying to burn them onto CD-R disc I was able to do this with a CD-RW. What do I have to do? I don't want to use roxio cos it only holds a maximum of 16 tracks and plus it didn't work anyway. The first time I tried to burn with nero the response was another application is in use, having removed it the response now is " burning failed" and I have reduced the speed from 32 to 16 but this has not made any difference. I am sure it is quite a simple procedure. Plse tell me what to do. Do I have to format the CD-R to audio perhaps? Can I not mix both formats in one burn? Thank you.

Well I solved it in the end. Trial and error! Don't know how really I just put in another CD R disc did a similation and left the speed at 16 and it burned. I haven't listened to all the tracks so I can only speak for the first one which I believe is wma. Will update you if I have further problems. Hope this can help anyone else experiencing similar problems

You probably had a bad cd-r. That's why it worked the next time around even though you really didn't change anything. It happens.
I've never been limited to 16 tracks using Roxio, unless I was over the limit in mb the cd-r would hold. I've used Roxio for years to burn a variety of things. Has always done a great job for me as long as I stayed within the limitations of what the program was intended for.
Nevertheless, you'll do well with Nero. Good program as well."It is not enough to obey Big Brother. You must love him".
