TemplateImageList.Bitmap reading error : Read error occurred at address BFF6A285 of module "KERNEL32.DLL" with 0091FF08
That is, verbatum, what the error says.
I'm sorry I didn't specify what the error was, I checked for Kernel32 errors here and founda few people had them and I thought they were all the same.
And yes I did try one persons suggestion of setting Direct Show to "2" and it didn't fix it. -
Windows ME is all I have.
ANd Yes the program worked perfectly before this error started up.
It started when I was trying to convert a file that had AC3 for the audio and for some reason it just started after it converted the file, no audio, but the video was converted.
Should i probably re-install ME? Cause I'm sure as hell am not going to XP or 2000 -
It sounds like you have tried to make TMPGEnc re-encode AC3, which ain't gonna happen ! If what I think is happening is happening, then you will need to process the video and audio separately and mux together when done.
Or you could try re-installing things. My list would be as follows:
Re-install AC3 codec;
Re-install TMPGEnc;
As a last resort, re-install ME.
PS. I was once very sceptical about Win 2000/XP but after changing themes and Start Menu etc. to look like Classic Windows, I am converted. They both are much much better than any other Windows and a lot more stable, but, each to their own I guess.If in doubt, Google it. -
The problem might be Windows ME. A lot of folks have reported BSODs while running TMPGenc with ME, which is reportedly a much less stable OS than either XP or 2000. Sell your ME on eBay and buy a copy of XP Home or Win 2K Pro. I'm using Win 2K Pro and have had zero BSODs or kernal faults or crashes in 2 years. (Excluding the crash caused by the really nasty PCI video capture card software when I foolishly let the LeadTek software try to do the installation, instead of doing the isntallation manually.)
If you're trying to encode a video stream with AC3 in it, you must first extrac the AC3 to a separate WAV file and then choose that as the audio source for your encoding. Use BeSweet to convert ac3 to WAV. To extract the AC3 soundtrack, install an AC3 filter and use TMPGenc to demux to elementary video and audio streams. AC3 filters and BeSweet are available at www.doom9.org. -
1. Reinstall AC3 - Done, Didn't work
2. Reinstall TMPGe - Done Didn't Work
3. Reinstall ME - Done, Didn't work (caused a huge problem with IE6)
Attempted and ripped a WAV of the file and tried it didn't join the wav and the avi into teh mpeg hence no audio.
But don't worry about the converting thing. It's just getting this POS working. -
Over teh current. I didn't reformat.
ANd it screwed up IE as well. I can't upgrade it to 6 now.
Ugh it's just one thing after another isn't it.
