  2. 12a is too slow, 2.0 is much better

  3. I'm using version 12j. I've heard that Version 2.0 doesn't accept divx movies as easily? Is 2.0 really that much faster than 12j? Maybe I'll give 2.0 a try when my 30 days runs out..........but it makes me nervous to switch when I'm having such good luck with this "old" version.

  5. O.K. Version 2.0 seems to be faster, but what about the quality? Any news about this?

  6. I'm really disappointed in 2.0. tooLame only works occasionaly, batch encode never works, can't cut any movies converted in 2.0, nor 12J. Good old 12a can cut it.
I went back to 12J again, works a lot better for me.

As for quality, no change. The only major difference is that 2.0 has support for SSE instructions, therefor running faster.

The best overall version, is 12H
2.1 seems promising, but I thing VBR ain't working well...

CQ VBR on 2.1 created a less good mpeg 2 result than 12H.
But with VBR, 2.1 is much better....

Seems like 2.1 is good for standard SVCDs, while 12H is better for XSVCDs (lower resolution)
    Any other reports?
