i got a LG GSA4040B and firmware A302 installed but when i rip dvds with DVD Decrypter i cant pass the speed of 1.7![]()
anyone plz help me solving this problem , cause i read ppl here can rip dvds way faster and with this same drive

It's usually a matter of hacked firmware or people buying drives specifically for their rip speed.
Most drives have their rip speed capped at 2x, but if you don't mind toying with hacked firmware and the potential risks involved you can probably beat the 2x cap without too many problems. -
Another idea is to add a dvd-rom drive. Prices have come way down, you can do disc to disc if your system can keep up, and it saves you wear and tear on your burner. Ripping is probably the greatest stress you'll put on a drive's motor. Why not take it out on a cheaper drive that doesn't have all the functionality of a burner...OR if you don't mind spending the money you can kill two birds with one stone and opt for a CDRW/DVD combo. Most DVD burners don't write CDs very fast (although some go up to 40x), but again more wear and tear on your more expensive drive.
Just a thought.Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.
