  1. Hi!

I've been trying recently to convert AVIs to DVD without much success.

I've tried various methods and software, including my most recent attempt using DVD2SVCD.

I followed one the helpful guides from this site, and processed it all using virtual dub, and then used DVD2SVCD set to AVI to DVD and TMPGenc + to encode the file.

However, at the end of all this what I have is an MPG file.

Do I now need to re-encode the file using something like TMPG DVD author to get the vob files etc that I need to create a DVD, or have I messed up somewhere along the way?

just add the mpg in tmpgenc dvd author and it will make vobs( it is the authoring, it doesn't reencode anything).

click on author here to the left for other dvd authoring tools.
