  1. Hi

What can be done about MPEG's with resolutions not supported by VCD 1.0 or 2.0?

When I use VCDEasy, I get an error telling me that the file is not a valid resolution. Then, if I add the file anyway... the video plays fine on my DVD player, but there is no audio.

Is there a way to have these MPEG's playable with audio?

    Much thanks!

No audio can't(?) be caused by wrong resolution... Probably the audio track is in a format not acceptable as VCD audio.
I'd suggest demuxing original mpg to m1v and whatever format the audio is in, rhen reencode the audio to VCD compliant mp2, then remultiplex new audio with old video. That way, you keep the video quality, while making sure the audio will work too.
Use TMPGEnc to demux. What tools to use for reencoding depends on what format is used in the mpg, but toolame is a great mp2 encoder, once you have your audio in wav format.
