I tried to use CDRDAO with TSCV without success.
It seems to recognize the CD writer (3,1,0: PLEXTOR, CD-R PX-W1210A, 1.08)
I want to burn an svcd image, loaded the cue, but when I start the process, I get this error message:
"WARNING: Environment variable 'HOME' not defined - cannot read .cdrdao."
I guess, I have to copy the driver table to.....I don't know where.
I tried to use it by command line as well, did run scanbus with the same result.
    Any help is appreciated.
WinME, also installed: CDRWin 4.0A and Nero 5.5.3.5

  2. It may be unrelated but I have also had problems with CDRdao with VCDImagerEasy.

I think it is Win ME related. I keep getting all sort of fatal errors - and then sometimes it works. Sometimes it cannot find the CD-RW device and scans for ever.

Funny thing is that it generaly seems to work perfectly after defragmenting the HDD. It may be my imagination but VCDImagerEasy1.0.0 also seems to work more consistently than 1.0.1

I also have Nero 5.5.5 installed and CDRWin at times.

I assume you just want to give CDRdao a try or are using the trial version and getting sick of 1X write speed - CDRWin has never given me any problem with cue/bin files.

I just want to give CDRdao a try, because I tried to burn a SVCD image with a chapter entrypoint behind the 80minutes mark. It didn't play properly after burning with CDRWin.

  4. Truman, try downloading the newest version of CDRDAO and install it in its own directory. Then, grab the Win32 GUI that's available for it (called "XDuplicator"). This works quite well and is freeware too.

    Regards.

Excellent, surprisingly cdrdao work with that GUI. Don't ask me why, I don't know. The entry point (80:00.47) does not work anyway. I guess, I have to check the .xml once again, no problem. Thank you guys.
