  1. I recently had a problem while making a backup of one of my DVD's. I use an NEC 1300A (Firmware 1.09) and FujiFilm DVD-R (Made in Japan) Discs. I rip the DVD using DVDfab, make an image with ImgTool, and burn the image with DVD Decryptor. Everything worked fine until I bought a brand new Sony DVD Player (SLV-D300P) Its one of those new DVD players with progressive scan and MP3 playback capability. Anyways, I always use two discs to backup one DVD9. The first disc works perfectly in the new DVD player, but the second disc causes the player to read "error." Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? The two discs work perfectly in my old DVD player and on my DVD-ROM drive.

Please let me know if you have any thoughts on this...

Not sure what it is truth be told but your methods and media sound top notch so my guess is it might have something to do with whatever DVDFab is doing.

  3. Do you guys think that it might have something to do with the fact that there is a menu on the first disc and no menu on the second disc? How could DVDfab be doing something wrong when the same burned discs work on my old DVD player? Is there a difference between the reading methods that the two DVD players use?

    Thanks

try to play the files using powerdvd on your computer. if they don't work, check the files in the second disk folder and make sure it has ifo and bup files.
