  1. I have a collection of divx movies and don't know how to tell if they are encoded with version 3/4/5.. I tried to go under properties in the file but nothing. Is there something I can download? Your help is much appreciated-

You can try gspot, but with many divx that you did not create, it can be quite a game to find all the different codecs. Divx5 says it will play version 3 and 4, so maybe that would be a good place to start. Good luck.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

  3. All I need to know is if the file was made with DivX 3/4/5 because I am in the process of buying a divX compatable dvd player and alot of the players have problems reading DivX version 3.1. I am hoping to find most of my files are made with version 4/5 or else I will wait till better tech advances- Thanks for the quick response-
