  1. Hello ppl!

I got a problem, I have 26 .mpg (VCD Mpeg1 by TMPGEnc) video files on my PC. Each one is 23-25 minutes in length. I don't wanna waste 8 CDs when my other PC has a DVD burner. I use -R dvds by the way. Since they are all MPEG1 files, can I burn them to a DVD just like I would a CD for VCD so I can Fit More files per disc on DVD versus CD?

If you don't understand the question, I can rephrase it as this:
    1. Can I burn VCD Mpeg1 files to a DVD? How?
    2. If so, How many minutes of VCD MPEG1 video can fit on the average 4.7GB DVD disc?

Thank You for all your help!

Try the trial of Tmpgenc DVD author, it will accept the vcd mpegs and resample the audio from 44100khz to 48000khz and give you menus if you like.
Just shut up and listen dumbass

Not exactly. VCD is valid video for DVD, the audio is not. Drop your VCD's into TMPGEnc DVD Author (as suggested) it will correct the audio and author for DVD.

    800 MB CD = 80 min, 4.4 GB = 440 min roughly.

  9. 1. Can I burn VCD Mpeg1 files to a DVD? How?
Yes, if you just want to burn these MPEG-1 files as data files on DVD, then just go ahead as with ordinary files.
If you want to burn on DVD to watch them on a stand-alone DVD player later then there are two things you have to do:
    a) demux MPEG files to M1V file and .MP2 file
    b) change .MP2 sampling rate from 44.1Khz to 48KHz for DVD
    c) author M1V and the new MP2 (audio) file using an authoring software.

    2. If so, How many minutes of VCD MPEG1 video can fit on the average 4.7GB DVD disc?
As much as the total MPEG-1 size does not exceed 4.7GB. I assume you may have either standard VCD or (extended)VCD. For example, I did a lot of XVCD in the past (bit rate > 1150kbps)
