    Sound Forge (supports audio and video, no Ac3), Vegas (audio and video ac3 plugin), Acid Pro (audio and ac3 plugin, no video). All around the same cost as Maven3D.

    If you need video editing, Screenblast Movie Studio (stripped version of Vegas) is $99, Magix Movie Edit Pro ($99 http://site.magix.net/index.php?id=411 excellant feature set), for free you have Avisynth, Virtual Dub, Zwei-Stein, ABC Video Roll, few more.
