I did an adware scan on my new laptop and found a whole bunch of crap(I assume from Grokster). I deleted the stuff, right after that my internet explorer would not work, aim will not work, etc. Nothing will connect to the internet.
I believe that somehow when I deleted that stuff it took something with it and therefore somehow made me not connect to the internet.
Any ideas on how to get me up and running again would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!!
Laptop is a Sharp Actius. Operating system is XP Home.

Try using the Restore feature of XP to go back to a date before you deleted the files. I'm not familar with Adware. I use Spybot and with it you can keep a copy of the files and if you have any problems, you can put them back.
