Newby to using Fox & Clone DVD, created a back-up, of "purchased DVD". using -RW ritek, it would not play on my Go-Video player ( in the past -RW would play on this same player) it played on my daughters PlayStation 2. Process took about 1 hour and a few min.
I made a back-up of another movie a friend loaned me it was a copy, it was created using the speed of 4X, copied using VIDEO=MPEG2NTSC 4:3720X576 FOR AUDIO=ENGLISH MPEG/2.
I used a Verbatinum -R and it played just fine, on my player and another one I also own a Daewoo Player.
I liked the speed of the whole process less than 20 minutes to read and write. Made another copy using Verbatinum +RW disk it played fine on my GoVideo. How can I make sure all my burns are 4X instead of 2X ?
Or should I change the speed, usually I just go with whatever speed the orginal was created in, I never change the speed. But 1 hour seemed long, and the quality was actually no less than the faster burns.
My friend also loaned me a DVD created using 321 products, (noticed the disclaimer), but could not copy got read error "VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1 VOB:23:read error TC sector Reader TCE" ?
I even tried to copy this one to VHS instead but back-up just did the usual 321 play freeze and stop. If I ripped this DVD to my harddrive, could I burn to DVD and maybe even not have the freezes or burns on the final product.
I did however notice some interesting things for one, I kept getting these pop up error messaged regarding frequency of Display, Clone kept telling me to set at 72hz, my system has pre set frequencies for my Display
72hz is not an option 75hz is so i choose 75hz frequency, and also set the parameters on Fox the same, pop up kept showing.
Also I noticed that while using Clone DVD, my burner is listed with upgraded firmwear, in my system device manager the driver properties do not indicate the firmwear upgrade instead is set with default information
from microsoft 07/1/01, no mention of upgrade.I restored my CPU last week.
I am trying to remember everything, because the faster burn blew my mind, I just knew I had created a coster.
What puzzles me is the _RW disk no longer playing on my GoVideo Player.
I am so tired, I have been working on my PC for a solid week, trying to create a viewable back-up, now that i have I have many more questions.....
