  1. My brother has just bought his 2nd dvd-rw+rw for his PC the first was
    a 4x write liteon
    2nd a I/O 4x

    Same problem seems to occure:
a dvd will write a few secs then pop out and say dvd successful
If he uses blank media that doesnt specify a dvd record speed 1x 2x etc this doesnt happen.

I have seen many people with the same problem with differdent burners.

My only guess is that the dvds that are faster wrting 4x cause problems.

And help on what this could be?

Did you check the DVD? There's always the extremely remote possibility that you somehow recieved a (secret) magic DVD writer by mistake and it's just stupefyingly fast. :P

  3. I think for some reason the 4x dvds are causing the problem.
I have seen other users with differnet burners having same problem, dvd starts to write,, then in like 50 secs or so it says done
and burns like 1 line on the dvd
