  1. I posted yesterday about a problem I'm having. The post is here https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=820799#820799

    I've worked on it alot today and the only thing I can see that may be causing this is either a video or audio codec. I say maybe audio codec because a program called MPEGProperties gives me an "Error in Audio Packet Header" message.

    The thing that is most puzzling is that the files load fine into TMPGENC + and can even be reencoded. Yet, when I try and add the files into the merge and cut tools area it crashes. On all the files that crash, GSpot shows the paths as:

    (S) --> MPEG-2 Demultiplexer --> InterVideo Video Decoder --> (R)
    (S) --> MPEG-2 Demultiplexer --> Ligos MPEG Audio Decoder --> (R)

    Is this as it should be?

    Also, to further muddle the picture, the same files that TMPGENC + merge/cut rejects, TMPGENC DVD Author accepts, and allows me to edit and render to DVD. And finally, a program called MPEG2CUT also accepts the files and allows cutting. I understand that with those I have a workaround solution, but I need the TMPGENC + merge/cut options as I like them the best. It is great for joining all the files together that I need at no loss in quality.

    I know this all sounds strange and I guess it is. The files work with some programs and not others. Any and all help and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

  2. > MPEG2CUT

    Download the latest version - Mpg2Cut2 - at
    http://www.geocities.com/rocketjet4/

    The old version has a lot of comptibility problems.

    I suspect this is actually a shortcoming in MpegProperties.

    Try conytacting the author, and ask for a more detailed error message.
