Hi,
I just got the Dazzle DVC 150 (yes under the old name) to convert some old VHS. The product seemed to have what I wanted but I'm not getting great quality, and the options seem limited. I now understand that Dazzle is defunct and that Pinnacle owns them. There seem to be alternate ways to use this thing, but I'm wondering if I should just return it and get another card, or go another route. I want to take old VHS and possibly LaserDisc and convert to DVD.
I'm not attached to this thing, but don't want to give up if it's any good. Any and all thoughts are welcome.
Thanks.

Dazzle has a pretty poor rep on this forum, and deservedly so. If I were you I'd dump the Dazzle card and go with either a LeadTek WinFast TV2000 (the cheap option) which will allow you to capture to MPEG-2 in real time at excellent video quality if you have a fast enough CPU, or a Canopus ADVC-100 or DataVideo DAC-100 (more expensive) if video quality is your sine qua non and you don't waiting for encodes to MPEG-2.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll take your advice. I do want quality MPEG2 and can wait if I have to.
Glad I kept the receipt.
